Wellington/Porirua trains suspended due to possible track obstruction

Metlink have advised all train services between Wellington and Porirua on the Kapiti line are currently suspended due to a possible track obstruction.

A crew is currently on site checking the track.

Buses are currently operating between Wellington and Porirua. There will be trains shuttling between Porirua and Waikanae, but these will not run to timetable.

People travelling inbound to Wellington Station can also catch the number 60 bus from Porirua to Johnsonville then board the Johnsonville train to Wellington.

People travelling outbound from Wellington Station can also use the Johnsonville line and catch the number 60 bus from Johnsonville to Porirua.

Kapiti line tickets will be accepted on the Johnsonville line and the number 60 bus.
