The Wellington Pasifika Festival attracts over 15,000 people each year. It’s a standout event in both the Wellington regional, and the national calendar.
The festival highlights our tight-knit Pacific communities, our arts, cultural and political landscape and user-friendly city parks and environments. It is an opportunity for all Pacific people to celebrate and share their knowledge, values and beliefs and supports the vision that Wellington is a vibrant, creative capital.
Experience the sights, sounds and flavours of the wider Pacific right here in Wellington. There will be delicious food to buy, free family-friendly activities, and performances by traditional and contemporary Pacific artists.
Watch out for events happening on the St Johns lawn including tivaevae (a form of artistic quilting), hula classes, and a Pacific storyteller.
Hop on board the Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision bus at Pasifika and enjoy screenings of short films from past Siapo Cinema: Oceania Film Festivals.
