All lanes of Lambton Quay and seven surrounding streets will be closed this weekend for the two-day celebrations of A Very Welly Christmas.
Lambton Quay will be closed from the intersection of Whitmore and Bowen Streets to Willis Street from 12.15am on Saturday 24 November until 11.50pm Sunday 25 November.
Sections of the following streets leading into and away from Lambton Quay will also be closed: Ballance Street, Stout Street, Waring Taylor Street, Johnston Street, Brandon Street, Panama Street, and Grey Street.
A number of bus services will be affected, with diversions in place for all traffic, as shown in the following maps:
The bus services affected are routes 1, 2, 3, 7, 14, 22, 25, 52, 83, 91, N3, N4, N5, N6, N8, N66 and N88.
All bus stops on Lambton Quay will be closed during this time, including:
- Stop #5010 – Lambton Quay at Cable Car Lane
- Stop #5012 – Lambton Central – Stop A
- Stop #5011 – Lambton Quay North – Stop C
- Stop #5014 – Lambton Quay North – Stop B
- Stop #5015 – Lambton Quay North – Stop C
- Stop #5502 – Lambton Quay North – Stop D
- Stop #5506 – Lambton Central – Stop B
- Stop #5508 – Lambton Quay at Hunter Street
Temporary bus stops will replace the Lambton Quay stops.
Northbound routes will stop at Waterloo Quay between Waring Taylor Street and Ballance Street (all routes), and at Whitmore Street outside the Supreme Court, opposite Victoria University Law School (routes 2 and N3 only).
Southbound routes will stop at Whitmore Street outside Victoria University Law School, opposite the Supreme Court (route 2 only), 131 Featherston Street, between Waring Taylor Street and Johnston Street (all routes), and 195 Featherston Street, between Grey Street and Hunter Street (all routes).
