The stormy weather on Monday night caused slips in Onslow Road, South Makara Road and Grosvenor Terrace, Wadestown, as well as flooding in Ngaio, Seatoun, and on the Hutt Road.
The weather also affected the bank at the Pass of Branda (above), which was closed for a few days in June after a slip.
The Wellington City Council have advised that today’s works to stabilise the bank will now continue tomorrow (22 August).
Breaker Bay Road will be closed from the Breaker Bay car park to the Pass of Branda incline between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
The Council apologise for the inconvenience.
