Negotiations between the Tramways Union and Tranzit, which runs 60 per cent of Wellington’s bus services under its Tranzurban Wellington and Tranzurban Hutt, were unsuccessful today, and rolling strike action will begin from 2.00am Tuesday morning.

The union claims it has about 140 members working for Tranzurban, and 25 members working for Uzabus, which operates six per cent of the region’s services.
