All Blacks TJ Perenara and Ardie Savea will join the Wellington Lions squad for tomorrow night’s home game against Southland.
The Wellington Lions have returned home with their tails between their legs after losing 27-20 to Premiership title holders Canterbury.
However All Blacks TJ Perenara and Ardie Savea, who have been busy with their Bledisloe Cup duties, are returning to join the starting XV for their third game of the Mitre 10 Cup Rugby Premiership.
“Both players are really proud Wellington representatives who really wanted to get out and play some Mitre 10 Cup rugby,” said Lions head coach Chris Gibbes.
Other adjustments include wing Wes Goosen being brought out to fullback with Malo Tuitama coming into the side after he started in the Lions first match against Otago.
These additions should help bring the Lions back to the form that helped them open the season with the 34-16 win against Otago.
Kick off is at 7.35pm at Westpac Stadium.
