Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse finished off a fantastic comeback season by beating the Mainland Tactix 61-56 in the final of the Super Club Netball Competition.
The Pulse and Tactix were ranked second and third place respectively in the ANZ Premiership competition, which the Southern Steel took home last month.
The Pulse refused to let that last-minute win repeat itself again on Friday, after turning the tables by the start of the third quarter and never looking back.
“To get over the line, you have no idea, it feels great,” defender Sulu Fitzpatrick said. “It got a bit stressful in those last few minutes which reminded me of a couple weeks ago, so it was good to come out on top.
Recently capped Silver Fern, Aliyah Dunn, scored 37 points for the Pulse.
Beko Player of the Year, Maddy Gordon, was brought onto the midfield in the crucial final quarter and held her own among the more seasoned players.
