Artistic upcyclers are invited to join a working bee tomorrow as Boomerang Bags do their bit for Plastic Free July.
Boomerang Bags Wellington who divert textiles and fabric from landfill and upcycle it into readily available reusable bags, are holding their biggest working bee ever tomorrow.
As part of Plastic Free July, they are challenging Wellingtonians to tackle plastic pollution at a grassroots level by refusing to use single-use plastic bags, and help create beautiful reuseable bags from discarded materials.
Join in the fun, meet new people, help to reduce landfill waste and make as many reusable bags as possible from 10:00am to 4:00pm tomorrow, Saturday 7 July at the Underground Market under Frank Kitts Park.
