Reduced seating for peak morning Hutt and Kapiti train services

Metlink have advised that some morning peak services will have reduced seating over the next week, due to fleet maintenance.

Metlink have issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and appreciate the patience of passengers as they work to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Today, Kapiti Line services affected include the 6:46am service from Plimmerton to Wellington, which will have a reduced number of seats available. An alternative later service departs Plimmerton at 7:03am.

The 8:40am service from Waikanae to Wellington will have a reduced number of seats available. And alternative earlier service departs Waikanae at 8:24am, and an alternative later service departs Waikanae at 9:01am.

On the Hutt Valley Line the 7:37am service from Taita to Wellington will have a reduced number of seats available. An alternative earlier service departs Taita at 7:20am and an alternative later service departs Taita at 8:00am.

Passengers on the Hutt Valley line were already complaining last week about overcrowding in carriages.
