Police seek help to identify man in critical condition after Porirua incident

Wellington Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man in a critical condition who was involved in an incident in Porirua yesterday.

Police reported that a man had “exited a car” on Warspite Avenue, with police and other emergency services attending the scene from 4.00pm on Sunday.

The man was taken to Wellington Hospital in a critical condition, and his identity remains unknown. Police are seeking any information from the public which may help identify him.

He is described as Maori or Polynesian, in his mid-30s, of a large/solid build, around 185cm tall, and with short black hair. He has a small amount of facial hair on his chin.

Police are working to establish the sequence of events which led to the man being hospitalised, and are appealing to the public for help.
