Performance Arcade: 2019 Music Series: Week Two

The Live Music Series is back! Our exciting 2019 line-up features a hand-picked selection of local and International bands and artists.

Head to our pop-up bar for an exclusive Arcade brew by Tuatara, grab some delicious hot food from Food For The People and relax on the grass as laid back afternoon sessions lead into vibrant night time sets.

Since 2011 the Live Music Series has developed a reputation amongst musicians and fans as an exciting opportunity to discover new sounds, try new ideas, and encounter some of the best from Wellington’s formidable music scene.

Fully licensed event with a POP-UP BAR serving up a special Arcade Brew by Tuatara Brewing and wine by Left Field Wines, whilst Food for the People provide the best in hot food.

The Performance Arcade is returning to Wellington Waterfront for its 2019 festival of live art and music. Running over two weekends, the festival is an accessible and free event for all.

Taste Arcade is a walking menu of culinary performances that will take you along the heart of Wellington waterfront. Follow the pink line to discover a hidden world of edible delights with new exclusive menus, unique cocktails and unforgettable experiences by local bars, restaurants, cafes and food artists.

Hot! Like A Mexican / Travel from Mexico to New Zealand. Taste authentic Mexican food while experiencing Andres’ story of breaking boundaries and crossing borders in Mexico, USA and New Zealand.

Gelissimo Gelateria / Gelato as black and mysterious as the night is dark, topped with marshmallows, torched till toasted, and wrapped in exotic Persian pashmak. Indulge yourself and unlock the mystery of cone’s heart…

La Bella Italia / An interactive performance inspired by La Bella Italia for guests to participate, learn and contribute to the communal table. A workshop where guests create their own handmade pasta by working with eggs, flour and more. *requires booking – tickets available here:

Mojo Coffee Roastery / Coffee passes many hands before it’s crafted into the perfect cup. Stop by the Mojo Coffee Roastery and immerse yourself in the world of coffee. Discover and taste your way through a free short self- guided experience.

St Johns Bar & Eatery / ‘The Long Lunch’ is held on St John’s Bar & Eatery lawns overlooking Whairepo lagoon. Enjoy a delicious 4 course meal with complimentary bubbles and support a local charity. *requires booking – ticket link to follow.

Press Hall’s Birthday Bash

Press Hall is celebrating its 1st birthday on Thursday 28th February!

To celebrate, we’re throwing a massive birthday party. Come along to Press Hall’s lunch & late-night market celebrations between 12-2pm & 4-9pm. You’ll discover music, entertainment, a free photobooth, and cake and prize giveaways.

Each eatery will put on a special celebratory birthday dish and Amador will have a pop-up bar in the main eatery with special cocktails.

Salsa at Sunset 2019 | Free Outdoor Salsa Lesson & Dance Party

Learn to Salsa in the setting sun down on the waterfront with CubanFusion – Wellington’s Cuban Salsa Specialists.

Aimed at beginners and beyond, this free fun family-friendly event is for everyone. No previous experience or partner required!

The free fun follow-me classes kick off at 6pm sharpish followed by dancing till the sun goes down (8pmish – gets earlier as the weeks go on).

Join us straight from work or leave work early. Carlos Navae & Co will be playing live outside Mac’s Brewbar | Taranaki St Wharf 3pm-6pm.

Casual Gaming

Tired of taking your gaming too seriously? Want to game casually? Are your friends ignoring your pleading to get together for a board game sesh and you just can’t muster up the requisite number of people for a game of Catan? Want to just sit back, relax and have someone teach you a cool game? Well, have we got something for you…? Starting this Thur (31 Jan), we’ll run a Casual Gaming session from 6pm. Each week, we’ll feature a popular game for you to try out, but we’re equally open to requests.

We’ll announce a game each week, so keep an eye out. Someone super knowledgeable will be on hand to help you out. Drop in on your own or with a friend and we’ll try and hook you up with some keen beans to play a game or two with. Usual game pass rules apply. Food and drink available. Bonus: Thursday is Fryday (free side of fries with mains).
