The First Responders Festival with live music, outdoor cinema, BBQ and family fun day has been created to celebrate and support our city’s amazing free ambulance service.
And what better way to celebrate than with a landmark collab beer! Two of Wellington’s favourite breweries, Tuatara and Black Dog have created a brew together – The First Responder Pacific Pale Ale.
Join us during the festival to taste the beer, all proceeds go to WFA and enjoy the entertainment, great music, and delicious food, the whole weekend long!
Friday evening, we have The amazing Cut Outs – lead by Lisa Tomlins playing from 6:30pm.
Saturday the Brewers BBQ and Beers and Outdoor Cinema in the evening.
Sunday Family Fun Day with lots of activity for the whole family.
Good beer, good food, good music for a good cause, get amongst it!

Join us on Friday and party like it’s 1999. Or 2009. Or 1989. Or 1979. A band with over 100 years combined experience in some of New Zealand’s most hard-hitting, heavy-grooving bands. Lineup includes past and current members of Shapeshifter, Hollie Smith band, Electric Wire Hustle, Lord Echo and Fly My Pretties.
This party band stands apart from other bands with tunes ranging from R&B – Funk – Rock – Disco – Motown – Hip Hop – 80s club bangers – Dance floor classics, The deepest cuts – The biggest hits Everything you wanna hear – Nothing you don’t. All killer – No filler Introducing The one – The only – The bomb …….The CUT-OUTS.
This amazing band will be making it a very lively Friday as part of First Responders Festival in celebration and support our city’s amazing free ambulance – Wellington Free Ambulance, along with Tuatara and Black Dog breweries who have created the First Responders Pacific pale ale for the occasion!

Summer at its best with Beers & BBQ!
As part of the First Responders Festival, we’ll have the head brewers of 2 of Wellington’s favourite breweries, Tuatara and Black Dog on hand to chat about the beers and all things brewing.
You’ll get to enjoy 5 different beers, 2 from Black Dog, 2 from Tuatara and the unique colab beer brewed for the event, the First Responders Pacific pale ale.
The beers will be accompanied by a range of delicious BBQ foods prepared by the St Johns Bar & Eatery chefs.
Beers are 200ml each and matched with the foods, and $10 of every ticket goes to WFA.
Join in any time from 1-3pm on Saturday, for a casual beer and good company in support of Wellington Free Ambulance.
