The DCM Bookfair 2018 is on all Saturday until 6:00pm at the TSB Auditorium, Shed 6, Queens Wharf, Wellington. The 23rd annual Bookfair, the largest of its kind in Wellington, is DCM’s major fundraiser of the year, and essential to the ongoing success of the work they do to end homelessness in Wellington. Along with thousands of books, you’ll also find CDs, DVDs, vinyl, puzzles and games. Entry is free.

The Newtown Vintage Market has been evolving since July 2016, and is now held on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00am to 2:30pm at the Newtown Festival’s pop-up shop,199 Riddiford Street. It is not just a space for vintage lovers, but all sorts of Wellington creative with crafts and art work among items from the past.

Find out about the Creative Communities Funding Scheme at an informal information session on Saturday: meet the funding team and find out what it means to be a panel member. Clyde Quay School are presenting Fashion for Life – Not Just a Season at the school in Elizabeth Street, Mt Victoria, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. There’s a recycled clothing sale, inclduong bags, shoes, and jewellery, and fashion show, alongside a baking sale, coffee, and sausage sizzle, with the proceeds going to a variety of charities.

The Vegan Vault is Wellington’s all vegan night market, taking place on the first Saturday of every month at 171 Victoria Street from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. It’s a free event with food and drinks on sale, live music and animal friendly charities with merchandise under one roof.
