Devotees of cosplay (a contraction of the words “costume play”), dress up in self-made costumes and fashion accessories to represent characters from comics and films.

Cosplayers have been invited to get their child-friendly costumes on and help shake buckets in support of the hospital’s charity, Wellington Hospitals Foundation.

Collectors will be roaming the Lambton to Railway Station area from 7:00am tomorrow, from a base at Midland Park.

Between 10:00am and 2:00pm, the Park will be the site for the Cuts 4 Bucks fundraiser supporting the street appeal: if you need a haircut, get along and support a great cause.

There’ll also be a photo-booth, and cosplay photo opportunities.

All funds raised will be used to purchase much needed specialist medical equipment and comfort items to benefit young patients at Wellington Regional Children’s Hospital.

So make sure you carry some cash tomorrow!
