Police seek witnesses to Hutt pharmacy holdup

Wellington Police are investigating after a pharmacy was robbed on Queen Street, Upper Hutt on Saturday morning.

Police were called about 10.50am, after a man was reported entering the pharmacy armed with a craft knife.

He made off with a small amount of prescription medication.

Police have carried out an area examination and are following positive lines of inquiry.

Residents may notice an increased Police presence in the next couple of days while inquiries continue.

Police are looking for a man described as in his 40s, about 178cm tall, and wearing grey tracksuit pants and a grey hoodie, with a grey checked scarf around his face.

He is believed to have left the area either riding or pushing a bike.
