As well as maintaining a long-running blog, Wellington writer and broadcaster Simon Sweetman is closing in on publishing 125 podcasts, many with notable Wellingtonians. We will be providing occasional links to them on The Wellington App.

For episode 122, from late June 2018, Sweetman talked with author, teacher and fellow podcaster Pip Adam.
She had recently won the New Zealand’s biggest literary award, the $50,000 Acorn Foundation Fiction Prize, for her novel The New Animals.
Sweetman and Adam first met online, and discovered they were neighbours. She interviewed him first, in one of her regular chats with writers on the Better Off Read podcast, and here he returns the favour in a discussion that talks about her award win, reviews and criticism, and her pop culture and literary influences.
